The Minister of Arts and Culture validated a series of activities for women in the arts and culture subsector to carryout, within the framework of the celebration of the 41st international women's day, placed under the theme; Rights, Justice, ; Action for women and the Girl child
Activities included a round table conference to enlighten women and young girls on their rights, but most particularly for the women to reflect on their own contribution to the respect of their rights. it was also an opportunity to see government's actions for the respect of the rights of the woman and the girl child.
Health activities,; health talks, tests for cancer of the breast and uterus were carried out for most of the women
Cultural heritage day in which women displayed the rich culinary arts of Cameroon; culinary arts from the four cultural areas of Cameroon.
A cultural evening at the Cameroon Cultural Centre (CCC) where women showcased their talents in music.
An entrepreneurship activity to empower women, a hygiene day for total cleanup.
These activities were wrapped up with the meal offered by the Minister, on the 8th of March 2026. This came after the women in the subsector participated in the march past at the 20th May boulevard.
MINAC honored the women with his presence as they celebrate. He offered words of encouragement to the for all what they had accomplished so far and urged them to continue in the resilience.
