MINAC REITERATES HIS ENGAGEMENT TO ACCOMPANY PROMOTERS
MR MATCHADJE Hermann, promoter of SIILY received in audience
The Chairperson for the Association of the Promoters of the Book Industry (APIL) and promoter of the Yaoundé International Book Industry Fair (SIILY) , accompanied by a 10 man delegation of participants from different countries were received in an audience on 12 March 2026, at the artists lounge of the national museum.
The Minister was equally accompanied by senior officials of Minac. The national orchestra was at the rendezvous to grace the meeting.
As a reminder, the Yaoundé International Book Fair opened its doors on the 11th of March 2026 at the courtyard of the National Museum; a ceremony that was placed under the patronage of the Minister of Arts and Culture
Yesterday's audience was MINAC 's way of communing more with the guests from different countries and giving them the opportunity to express themselves.
In their different interventions, it was clear that all the guests were inspired by the structuring plan at its implementation phase. They were elated to know that the publishing and literary arts were identified as arts poles. The organization of the opening ceremony and the audience was an inspiration to them.
MINAC took this meeting as an opportunity to thank the guests for traveling from their different countries to be part of SIILY 2026 Yaoundé. He applauded the organizer for his efforts in the consistent organization of the event. To this, he reiterated Government's engagement in accompanying actors who work not just for the promotion of our culture but the development of our cultural and creative industries.
MINAC presented gifts to the guests, just like it is in our culture.
